A friend in Need........ Forrabury and Minster Friends Scheme was started on 17th March 2007. The small community of Boscastle strives to maintain these two beautiful and historic buildings relying on spontaneous fund raising and the generosity of local people. The churches are part of the rural scene and because of their positions, Forrabury on top of the cliffs and Minster deep in a wooded Valley, require continual and regular work to maintain them. The aim of the Friends of Forrabury & Minster is to support the Parochial Church Council (PCC) in maintaining the worship and music , as well as the fabric and fittings of the churches and to offer voluntary help where possible. Support is given by members through their regular subscriptions and by others who join in the life and worship of the church community. Some who live locally choose to help in a variety of practical ways. The Friends of Forrabury & Minster welcome everyone who has a concern for these two historic churches and an interest in any part of their life. Join the Friends and…….. Help to ensure, for future generations, the presence and wellbeing of these two unique historic buildings which are an inspiration to all. Enable them to continue to be places of worship, pilgrimage, rejoicing, comfort and peace . Enjoy the annual Friends Festival and receive periodic newsletters recording the energy and evolution of the churches and their friends. If you wish to give practical help, have the reward of being part of today’s history and continuing the preservation of two beautiful churches. To join the friends open the application form page, print it out, fill it in and send it off.
